Project description

The new construction of the service building is centrally located in the area of a park-like green space and seamlessly integrates itself into the structure of the "Staufer Barracks", which is enclosed by the inner access road of the property. All areas of the new building are connected to the green spaces and the barracks via a central and transparent foyer.

The home and care facilities and dining hall have separate attached kitchen and storage areas. The large dining room becomes a "pavilion in the park" through full-surface glazing and is oriented on three sides to the surrounding park. Sufficient lighting and illumination of the deeply staggered room areas create a hospitable atmosphere.

The roof, which extends over the entire length of the building and cantilevers far beyond the facade surface, unites the heterogeneous uses below and makes it possible to experience the building as a spatial unit.
