Project description

The Zollernalbkreis intended to build a new building at the vocational school at the school location of "Walther-Groz-Schule" in Albstadt-Ebingen. In addition to classrooms, specialized rooms for music, recreation rooms, sanitary facilities and, above all, a multifunctional auditorium were realized. WOLFF GRUPPE was commissioned with the architectural design for the construction phases (LPH) 1 to 8.

The compact, two-story building was erected in timber construction (timber element construction) on a new underground parking garage with 74 parking spaces. The entrance is directly visible from the parking lot. The flat roof received an extensive green roof as well as a PV system. 

The new building and the revised outdoor facilities create a new barrier-free and weather-protected entrance on the existing schoolyard area at the transition from the assembly hall to the existing B-building. The main entrance leads to the foyer, from where the subject rooms, sanitary facilities, the staircase with elevator and the auditorium with kitchenette are accessible. 

On the first floor, mobile partition walls are provided in the central area of the building, through which the rooms can be separated and combined into one large area if required. 

The project was successfully completed in the fall of 2024.
