Project description

The municipality of Rietheim-Weilheim commissioned W+P Gesellschaft für Projektrealisierung mbH with the completion of the new "Kindergarten am Faulbach" in the district of Weilheim within only 4 months. The building was still a shell when W+P started work. W+P provided the necessary services from the LPH. 4 - 8 of the HOAI, as well as project management services: W+P tightly controlled the user, client, planning participants and executing companies to hold the final deadline for the opening after Easter 2022.

The construction project:

The new building consists of a compact structure and a crossbar over an outdoor play area. The group rooms and the caregivers' rooms provide a view of the attractive open space. The entrance area is designed and prefabricated in such a way that it can be extended at a later point in time.

Located on the first floor, next to the main entrance, are the rooms for two toddler groups, the parents' consultation room, the kitchen, cafeteria with food serving area, and the nappy-changing room with restrooms. Additional group rooms and the necessary staff rooms as well as a spacious playing room are found on the upper floor.

The garden area makes optimal use of the available space and creates a contemporary, interesting and varied play landscape for all age groups. This playscape combines a water playground, swings, sandboxes, slides, stone walls for climbing, and a Bobby Car track for children to ride down.

An understanding of nature is conveyed through flower beds, including wild strawberries for the children.

The kindergarten certainly meets funding criteria and has been approved by experts in terms of safety.
