Conversion and extension of „Petri Grundschule“ in Werl
The pilgrimage city of Werl has decided to convert, renovate and extend the school building of the former "Petri Hauptschule" according to current pedagogical ideas for use as an elementary school and to renovate the attached gym in terms of energy efficiency. The city commissioned WOLFF GRUPPE with the general planning of the conversion and extension measures.
The new main building of the elementary school is the building of the Friedrich-Fröbel-Schule (secondary school), which was built in 1991 and relocated to the neighbouring town of Soest.
This new main building, which was extensively renovated in the course of the measures, now combines all classrooms in one building and was supplemented by an annex that contains additional classrooms, rooms for differentiated learning and modern bathrom facilities.
The existing single-story old building was partially demolished. The existing gym was renovated for energy efficiency, and the janitor's apartment, teaching kitchen and workrooms wings were demolished.
WOLFF GRUPPE GmbH merges PLAN FORWARD GmbH, W+P Gesellschaft für Projektrealisierung mbH, and ARIQQA GmbH into a single legal entity under its umbrella, in accordance with Sections 2 and 20 of the German Transformation Act (Umwandlungsgesetz – UmwG). The business activities of the previously independent companies are fully continued within WOLFF GRUPPE GmbH under the business divisions PLANNING, MANAGING and CONSULTING.
