Due to the large scale of the construction work, it was first necessary to draw up a landscape conservation plan. The main focus was on minimizing the sealing of the site by buildings and outdoor facilities. PLAN FORWARD GmbH achieved an extensive interlocking of the extensive new plantings with the existing biotope-like area.
The logistics center consists of 2 high-bay warehouses with an overall height of 40 m each, administration, goods handling and commissioning buildings. For fire protection reasons, all load-bearing parts are made of reinforced concrete.
In accordance with the functional requirements, the building envelope consists of horizontally and vertically structured aluminum and glass structures throughout. A total of 38,000 m of drilled piles were installed for the building's foundation.
