Project description

To temporarily accommodate the agricultural school of Stuttgart-Hohenheim, a school building with associated greenhouses was erected on the grounds of the municipal nursery. WOLFG GRUPPE has been commissioned with the general planning for all service phases.

The building is designed as a compact, single-story structure in timber construction (prefabricated timber element construction) with a flat roof. The flat roof will have an extensive green roof as well as a PV system for sustainability purposes.

The barrier-free main entrance is located beyond a small forecourt in the northern area of the building. The central foyer connected to the main entrance provides direct access to the workshops, the materials storage as well as the ancillary rooms (staff room, sanitary rooms, technical rooms, etc.).

The workshops are directly assigned to the corresponding workrooms with separate access in the direction of the greenhouses.

The greenhouses are decoupled from the school building due to the thermal requirements and the different room heights and are located south of the school building due to the required natural lighting. 

The project meets all sustainability criteria of the NBBW- Standard („Nachhaltiges Bauen in Baden-Württemberg“)
